About Jim
A highly experienced, bi-lingual, C-Suite Leader with more than 35 years in the pharmaceutical industry and has lived and worked in 8 different countries and 5 continents.
Jim has a unique blend of working for one of the world leading pharmaceutical companies, Novartis, and the private equity owned Acino.
He has been President and Country Head in Argentina and Chile, and has significant above-country leadership experience having run the Latin America and the Middle East and North Africa regions for Novartis, and the Latin America business for Acino.
In addition to his Corporate leadership positions, Jim has also held important leadership positions within the pharmaceutical industry. In Argentina, he was President of CAEMe, the trade association of the research-based pharmaceutical companies. More recently he served as Chairman of PhRMA (Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America) for the Middle East and Africa.
Jim has a lifetime involvement in competitive sports and has represented Scotland at 1,500m in track and field and holds a B.Sc degree in Physiology from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne in England.
